Strictlys Dianne Buswell completely is unrecognisable in shocking hair transformation

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell was completely unrecognisable as she showed off her hair transformation for the show.

As the dancing extravaganza hit the movies for the first themed week of the series, many of the celebrities and professional dancers swapped their normal looks for ones inspired by hit films.

One of the blockbusters showcased on Saturday night, 7 October, was the classic Romeo + Juliet, with EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell dancing a Samba to Candi Staton's Young Hearts Run Free, which is taken from it.

Dianne, 34, is known for her iconic red hair, but for her to be in character she performed with long, brunette locks.

After the show, she shared a series of snaps of her with her new look, as she joked "Who's this girl?"

She wrote: "Who’s this girl in my camera roll?? Brunette Buswell!?? Thank you all for your kind msgs about our samba last night."

The new look went down well with her followers, who were full of praise for the Australian. One person commented: "The brunette suits you soooo much x."

Another penned: "You looked utterly gorgeous last night, the brunette suits you so much."

Someone else wrote: "obsessed with this brunette look last night, and with you and Bobby, cannot wait to see you guys thrive on this series, such a great partnership!!"

Dianne, also penned a sweet tribute to dancer Amy Dowden, who returned to the Strictly studio as her cancer battle continues.

Amy was on hand to read the voting terms and conditions, as well as giving an update on her treatment. The 33 year old said: "I am halfway through treatment for chemo, and I can't wait to be back with you all soon."

Dianne said that it was "lush" to have Amy back, as she added: "Also it was so lush having my welsh beauty back in the building where she belongs @amy_dowden and of course @becky_dowden and the ever so handsome @braddykes."

On the dance floor, Dianne and 20 year old Bobby impressed the judges, managing to score 32 out of a possible 40.

Judge Anton Du Beke told the pair: "You’ve got some sort of double jointed trick pelvis – it was remarkable, I loved it!"

While Craig Revel Horwood said: "You actually made quite an unnatural dance for men look natural, A-MAZE-ING!"

The duo will be hoping that they have done enough to make it through to week four.
