Bake Off viewers emotional as Amos breaks down in tears after exit
Great British Bake Off: Amos is eliminated
Fans of The Great British Bake Off have been left highly emotional after Amos became the first contestant to be eliminated from the show.
During the episode, Channel 4 viewers watched the 12 new bakers tackle three separate challenges to try and impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
Although Amos had a wobbly start, he secured second place in the technical and despite his showstopper having a few issues along the way, he managed to present his orca whale cake.
Sadly, it didnât seem enough to keep him in the competition as Alison Hammond revealed Dan was this weekâs star baker with Noel Fielding announcing Amos would be leaving the tent.
Speaking about his exit, Amos told the camera: âAs soon as I heard my name, I came out of my body.â

However, the baker had to stop mid-sentence as he became highly emotional and turned his back to the camera walking away to compose himself.
Apologising for his reaction, Amos wiped away his tears, gutted to be going home so early on in the competition.
It wasnât long before viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the situation as many were left emotional.
