Ruth Langford barely cracks a smile in awkward exchange with Holly Willoughby
Holly And Craig Talking To Ruth About Loose Women
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, body language expert Adrianne Carter believes there was tension between Holly Willoughby and Ruth Langsford on Monday.
As Holly and Craig Doyle crossed over to the Loose Women studio, Ruth briefly greeted the This Morning hosts before telling viewers about what was coming up on the ITV chat show.
However, picking up on the awkward exchange, Adrianne believes Holly looked “nervous” while claiming Ruth’s smile was not “genuine”.
“Holly looks uncertain as we see her in the first shot, her hands are in a nervous way almost like she doesn’t know what to do with them…” Adrianne began.
“As Ruth says it’s nice to see you both, if she’d meant it I’d expect to see a genuine smile but her face barely cracks even a posed smile.”

As they cut to the Loose Women studio, Craig beamed: “It’s time to catch up with Loose Women now. Hi, Ruth.”
“Hi,” Holly went on to say as Ruth said: “Hello you two, nice to see you.”
She promptly moved on to chat about the show, telling viewers: “Coming up on Loose Women today, following Hugh Jackman’s split from his wife…”
The studio audience made an “awww” sound before Ruth added: “I know after 27 years of marriage, we’re asking is it time to stop idolising seemingly perfect couples?

“Also, should you always ask for permission first before bringing a pet to someone’s house?
“And would you turn someone away from your doorstep if they’ve turned up unannounced with theirs?”
“One of us would by the way,” the host said before adding: “Plus you’ve heard of Where’s Wally, but today we’re playing Where’s Denzie.
“We are trying to guess her secret location and the very exciting reason of why she is there. See you at 12.30pm.”
“See you there,” Holly concluded as she wrapped up the chat.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
