Pub-goers shocked as they spot huge Hollywood A-lister drinking a pint in Manchester pub | The Sun

PUB-GOERS in Manchester were left doing a double take as Hollywood A-listers drank a pint beside them.

The great and the good of the celebrity world descended on Manchester for Chanel's annual Métiers d’Art catwalk.

Rather than host the star-studded event in London, Chanel boss Bruno Pavlovsky chose Manchester's trendy Northern Quarter.

The French luxury fashion house picked the city as it is "one of the most effervescent cities of pop culture and an avant-garde one, whose bands, spanning all genres, have changed the history of music."

And after the eye-catching fashion spectacle, the likes of Kristen Stewart and Hugh Grant enjoyed a drink in local watering hole The Bay Horse Tavern.

One person wrote on X: "I’m in a Manchester pub. Hugh Grant, Sofia Coppola, Kristen Stewart, Tilda Swinton, Lucy Boynton and John Cooper Clarke are here too. Like a normal night out just better dressed."

Another said: "Oh what do you mean Kristen Stewart went to the pub two streets away from my flat last night."

The Twilight star branded the occasion her favourite to date and paid tribute to the city's storied musical history.

She said: “This is the birthplace of Oasis, lan Curtis and The Smiths. This is my bread and butter in terms of what turns me on.

“This is potentially my favourite Chanel show that l’ve seen in person. I think all the looks are incredibly intimidating — in a really sexy way. There’s a stringent, perfect tailoring to them that’s quintessentially British."

It follows supermodel Kate Moss, 49, being spotted in supermarket Aldi in the city.

A customer in the shop at the time revealed her shock at seeing someone so dressed up in the aisles – only to then realise it was Kate.

Anne Ryan told M.E.N: "I did wonder why someone was wearing shades on a wintry day. I assumed she was with the Chanel show but I definitely did not expect her in Aldi."

She continued: "I did not look in her basket but I am sure it was healthy. Her minder was very polite and she had a chat at the check-out.

"There was a group of photographers outside and a couple of girls filming on their phones. She did seem a bit over-dressed for a trip to the supermarket! I was just surprised at how tiny she was, even with heels."
