BBC Strictlys Kevin Clifton reveals unexpectedly similar body part to Bobby Brazier

Strictly It Takes Two host Fleur East was joined by former professional dancer Kevin Clifton on the BBC Two show this evening as part of his Clifton's Choreography Corner segment, as he revealed an unexpected similarity to this year's fan favourite Bobby Brazier.

Fleur hilariously referred to judge Craig Revel Horwood's "home economics lesson" when discussing his comments of Bobby's "spatula hands" during their American Smooth from Saturday night, which prompted an unexpected response from Kevin.

After Fleur addressed Bobby's "long arms and big hands" Kevin added that he "loved their dance" before he continued to reveal their familiar body part.

"I thought the choreography by Diane was sensational but you can see his hands", as he addressed Bobby's positioning on a clip that was shown from Saturday night.

"You can see how he's placing them out to his side, he's keeping his fingers together because he's not a dancer and he's thinking 'right I've got to keep my arms out and I've got to do something with my hands' – they can't just be hanging.

He added: "I have big hands as well so I was always slightly conscious of my hands when I was dancing. If you're a professional dancer you sort of learn how to relax the fingers and it will be softer."

He continued to point out though that for him, Bobby's 'big hands' didn't ruin the dance at all.

"Dancing is so subjective. For me, if I'm looking at this I'm seeing a great dance and this wasn't enough to take away from it for me but for someone like Craig he's always looking for these things. He's seen it and it's all he can see in the dance.

Kevin also offered advice on other couple's and their moves from last weekend, saying that Angela Scanlon would benefit from "filling the gap" between herself and partner Carlos Gu.

He also spoke on the different types of rumbas that dancers can do from lyrical and competitive to Cuban, agreeing with Motsi's weekend judging that Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola needed slightly more rotations in the hips.

Kevin, 40, joined Strictly back in 2013 and instantly won over a legion of fans. In his first year, he was paired with TV personality Susanna Reid and made it all the way to the final before finishing in second place.

He then made the final again in 2014 with ex-popstar Frankie Bridge, in 2015 with soap star Kellie Bright and in 2016 with TV presenter Louise Redknapp.

Kevin eventually lifted the Glitterball Trophy in 2018 with his now-girlfriend, documentary presenter Stacey Dooley.
