BBC Strictlys Amanda Abbingtons romance including proposal after 30 minutes of meeting
Actor Amanda Abbington is currently taking part in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Over the past few weeks, the 49 year old has been strutting her stuff on the dancefloor with Giovanni Pernice in the hopes of taking home the iconic Glitterball, and so far, has wowed the audience and viewers at home with her Viennese Waltz, Salsa, Rumba, and Foxtrot.
But away from the whirlwind that is BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, what does Amanda's life look like off screen? Especially in terms of her love life?
From her long term relationship with an equally famous actor and star of one of the most classic British comedies of all time (yes, we're talking about The Office), to her fast paced, passionate romance with her current partner, here's everything you need to know about Amanda Abbington's personal life…
Amanda was in a long term relationship with Martin Freeman
Back in 2000, while on the set of Men Only, Amanda met her future partner, Martin Freeman. The two hit it off straight away, and ended up becoming an official couple that same year.
While they never married, Amanda and The Office star went on to have two children together, a son named Joe, 17, and a daughter called Grace, 15.
As well as being together off screen, the two would later end up playing a couple on screen, after they were cast as husband and wife in the mystery crime drama, Sherlock. Amanda played the role of Mary Morstan, while Martin portrayed the character of John Watson.
Years before, they also crossed paths on the same shows, both landing roles in The Debt, The Robinsons and The Good Night.
However, after 16 years together, Amanda and Martin confirmed they were splitting in 2016. Thankfully, the split was on good terms, with Martin telling the Financial Times that it was "very, very, amicable," and that he'll "always love Amanda."
Elsewhere, Amanda confirmed Martin's statement, and told the Telegraph that despite their being "no hostility" between the two, they just "could not live together anymore."
Amanda is now with a Britain's Got Talent stuntman
Five years after Amanda and Martin's split, the actor found love again with Jonathan Goodwin, a stuntman on ITV's Britain's Got Talent.
According to reports, the pair had actually been good friends on social media since 2012, but they only met in real life following both of their respective break ups.
Apparently, the two instantly realised they had a special connection, and within half an hour of their first meeting, Jonathan had proposed to Amanda in Vienna.
Sadly, just months after the pair got together, Jonathan was involved in a serious accident on America's Got Talent that left him paralysed – and is now taking legal action against producers.
However, one quick scan of Amanda's Instagram will show you that the two are truly, madly, deeply in love. From the actor posting about how Jonathan makes her "stupidly happy," to sweet Valentine's Day tributes, it's clear how much they both mean to each other.
