Emmerdales Charley Webb left in agony after suffering accident at home
Charley Webb explains how she got ‘small burn’ on her hand
Former Emmerdale star Charley Webb has been left in “agony” after burning herself on the steam from her kettle at home.
The actress, who played Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap for nearly two decades, took to social media as she revealed the extent of her injuries.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Charley, 35, revealed a red mark on her right thumb with her 579,000 followers on the platform, which she admitted had left her in “actual agony”.
Highlighting the mishap, she revealed: “This is, like, the smallest burn on my hand ever, did it days ago from the steam coming up on the kettle.
“It’s agony, like, actual agony. And it’s tiny [burn mark]. Cannot believe how painful it is.”

Charley debuted on Emmerdale in 2002 before bidding farewell to the Yorkshire Dales in 2021.
Earlier this year, she opened up about her departure in a new interview with whattowatch.com, and admitted that she doesn’t have “any regrets”.
“It felt like the right time for me personally to make that jump from Emmerdale and I don’t have any regrets about it,” she said.
“I’m ambitious to push myself and it’s just about choosing the right projects from now on. It’s hard to say no to work, but I trust my agent and I trust the process. Hopefully, I’ve made some good choices so far.”

Webb recently made her stage debut in Quiz, a production based on the story of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? contestant Charles Ingram, otherwise known as the ‘Coughing Major’, who won the jackpot with the help of his wife Diana and an accomplice.
The former soap star takes on the role of Diana, while I May Destroy You’s Lewis Reeves plays Charles, and comedian Rory Bremner plays Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? quizmaster Chris Tarrant.
Charley returned to TV screens for the first time since leaving Emmerdale earlier this month in ITV’s true-crime drama The Long Shadow.
It tells the story of serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, who murdered 13 women and attempted to kill seven others throughout his killing spree which ended in 1981, when he was finally arrested.
Charley plays WPC Anna Lawson, a police constable who – like many others in the police force at that time – dedicated her professional life to hunting down Peter, whom the media had dubbed the Yorkshire Ripper.
The Long Shadow is available to watch on ITVX.
