Im A Celebritys Nella addresses quitting ITV show: Whenever I feel sad I do tend to leave
Nella Rose has addressed quitting I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! just days into the new series, following her row with campmate Fred Sirieix.
The Youtuber, 26, opened up about potentially leaving the Australian jungle in a chat with food critic Grace Dent during Wednesday's (22 November) episode.
Nella spoke candidly about how she never follows through with things and "always quits", revealing I'm A Celeb had been "the one thing" she wanted to try and stick out.
“I’ve never, ever in my life started something and finished it. Ever," Nella admitted to Grace. "I always quit, or I always sign on short term or if I don’t like it I can leave. This is the one thing I said I’m going to try and stick it through but I can already see myself… if I get in my head too much…”
Grace then asked Nella: “Do you bolt, you run the minute things start to pick up?” prompting the Youtuber to open up about her younger years.
She responded: “When I was younger I was put in a lot of situations that I had no control over. I was sad and miserable. So now that I have the control over my happiness and the things I want to do I think I’m kind of, I’ve become obsessed with it: ‘Oh, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.’”
The conversation was clearly still playing on Nella's mind later on as she opened up further in the Bush Telegraph, admitting that she's shocked that she's "lasted in the jungle for this long".
"Whenever I feel uncomfortable, whenever I feel sad I do tend to leave. I do tend to not carry things through if I feel uncomfortable. So the fact I’ve lasted in the jungle for this long is astonishing," Nella admitted.
She also went on to admit that if fellow campmate Jamie Lynn Spears, who has been tearful about missing home and her children, had left, she would have followed closely behind her.
"If Jamie left yesterday I would have been right behind her… I’m leaving. I just don’t want to be the first," the 26 year old said.
Nella's comments come after she clashed with Fred Sirieix in the jungle, after taking offence to a comment he made about being old enough to "be her father".
Nella wasn’t impressed with his comment because she had lost both of her parents, and she had told Fred previously. She proceeded to ignore and avoid Fred before admitting what was wrong, with the First Dates star apologising.
Nella then told him that while she accepts his apology, she doesn't want to interact with him during their remaining time in camp.
