It’s almost December – and for many that means it’s time to start thinking about our Christmas décor.
But one man didn’t have the best luck this year after purchasing a festive bunting from Morrisons, only to find it didn’t quite fit the description.
Matthew Mee, from Derby, recently tweeted a snap of the surprise he got when he opened his Christmas decoration, expecting the banner to read: ‘Merry Christmas’.
Instead, the colourful paper baubles spelled out: ‘Terry Christmas’ in an amusing turn of events.
Matthew, who goes by @mattmee on X, formerly known as Twitter, penned: ‘Hmmm Morrisons, I think you have Terry’s Chocolate Orange on the brain here’.

Morrisons’ official X account replied: ‘We do love a chocolate orange, but this definitely doesn’t seem right’
He finished his tweet: ‘Either that or Terry Crews’, alongside the image which showcased the error – a red paper bauble with the letter T over it – which should be the letter M.
While the swapping of just one letter greatly changed the meaning of the word, Matt was amused that the décor could have been directed at Hollywood hunk Terry Crews or the sweet fruity treat – and the supermarket agreed to take a look at the product.

‘Please can you DM us with your tweet along with the product barcode and batch code so we can look into this further?’
Last month, The Range shoppers were left ‘howling’ over a rude Christmas decoration – and even the shop was ‘shocked’.
The British retailer took to Facebook after they received a slew of messages from customers about a seemingly innocent Christmas bauble.
Shoppers had pointed out that a wooden sausage dog’s privates are visible under his red and white festive jumper.
Sharing a snap of the hilarious bauble, The Range claimed they’d received several comments from customers about the amusing design.
