A talented baker has risen to the occasion to create a stunningly lifelike bust of King Charles, completely made out of cake.
Emma Jayne, from south Wales, sculpted His Majesty’s head from Rice Krispies and marshmallows before constructing his face using modelling chocolate.
It even comes complete with the monarch’s sparkling St Edward’s Crown, which is adorned with 2,500 zodiac crystals, painstakingly placed on individually by Emma.
The edible parts of the crown are the giant ruby on the front and sapphire on the back, crafted from tempered sugar isomalt and fondant icing.
Cake artist Emma, who spent five days constructing the crown, will next work on completing the King’s body using 60kg of icing.

She will be showcasing her incredible creation at the Cake International event, held at the NEC in Birmingham, from 3-5 November.
Emma, a mum-of-three, said: ‘King Charles’ eyes were the most time-consuming part of the cake.
‘Made from modelling paste, hand painted and filled with piping gel, the fully edible eyes were put in the air fryer in dehydration mode for a whole day to dry out the gel and create a lifelike, glazed look.
‘His eyelashes are made from individual strands of wheat, painted with edible colouring and individually placed on his eyelids with precision and care.
‘This lifelike detail is so important for me, especially when we are talking about the King and I can’t wait for people to see it close up.’
Emma Jayne has a background in fine art and founded her company in 2012 after deciding to use her skills working with edible mediums.
She started by designing celebration cakes and bespoke wedding cakes.
Emma’s career kicked off in 2014, when she created ‘Neytiri’ from the film Avatar, showcasing it at Cake International – it went viral.

Last year, the baker exhibited ‘100 Years of King Tut’ at the event, marking the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb on 4 November 1922.
She produced the largest ever cake creation of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun, made entirely of sponge, rice crispy mixture, icing and sugar paste.
A dazzling part of her life-sized cake of King Charles III is his St Edward’s Crown.
As per tradition, Charles wore the crown during his Coronation in May. Made from solid gold and weighing 5lbs, it features 444 gemstones, including rubies, sapphires, garnets and tourmalines.
The crown was originally created for the Coronation of Charles II in 1661 and was also worn by Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation in 1953.
It is displayed in the Tower of London.
