Natalie Portman & Benjamin Millepied Made This Quiet Move That May Have Heavily Contributed to Their Split

Many have wondered what could have happened to Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied’s relationship, especially since they seemed so in love throughout the years. Many have pointed fingers at Millepied’s alleged affair with French climate activist Camille Etienne, but just as many still wondered how their paths crossed. However, new information shows just how they may have met, and how this move the family of four made eventually led to this heartbreaking ordeal.

In a profile for Variety from Sept 14, the outlet noted that Portman and Millepied “recently relocated” to Paris with their children.

The pair actually moved to Paris back in 2013 after Millepied accepted a job with the Paris Opera Ballet, but they moved back to the US after a few years, per CheatSheet. It’s unclear when they moved back, but it is known that it was before the infidelity rumors came out in 2023.

Back in June 2023, French magazine Voici alleged that Portman discovered the affair in March 2023. The outlet also posted photos of Millepied and Étienne entering his Paris office separately and leaving the same office two hours later, only 10 minutes apart, raising further speculation.

While neither Millepied nor the V for Vendetta star have publicly commented on these allegations, they seem to be trying to maintain a healthy co-parenting bond.

For those that don’t know, Portman and Millepied started their romance in 2009 after meeting on the set of the film Black Swan. They married in 2012, and later welcomed two children together named Aleph, 11, and Amalia, 6.
