Angus Cloud's mum speaks about devastating moment she tried to resuscitate him

Angus Cloud died suddenly in July aged just 25, and now the Euphoria actor’s mum has spoken out about trying to resuscitate him.

Lisa has opened up about her beloved son while standing in Cloud’s bedroom at her home in Oakland, California.

‘He was so beautiful and creative. He loved his home and he loved this little, tiny room,’ she shared.

Speaking of the devastating moment she approached Cloud who was sitting on his bedroom desk to say good morning before discovering something was wrong, she said: ‘I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him.

‘I was screaming for my neighbour because I didn’t want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away.

‘I miss him so much. He was the love of my life,’ she told People through tears.

The Alameda County Coroner ruled his death as an accidental overdose.

It’s understood Cloud, full name Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, died from a combination of drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, benzodiazepine and methamphetamine, suffering acute intoxication from the lethal dose.

Lisa explained that his heart and breath slowed, and this was predominantly due to central nervous system depressants.

The young actor, who played Fezco in Euphoria, was said to be struggling following the death of his father, who died weeks before from mesothelioma.

Angus and his twin sisters ‘were all devastated,’ explained Lisa, but previously said: ‘his last day was a joyful one.’

‘He didn’t kill himself,’ she stated.

‘He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved. He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially. He did not intend to end his life,’ she explained on Facebook.

‘When we hugged goodnight we said how much we loved each other and he said he would see me in the morning. I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn’t wake up.’

Lisa recalled that Cloud obtained an injury while running away from the police when he almost got caught tagging.

During the incident, he cracked his calcaneus on his heel and was forced to walk with a cane.

‘That’s really what started his drug-seeking behavior, I think. It was hugely painful.’

In the wake of his death, Lisa has found the tributes from fans ‘very moving’.

‘You know, he’s not just an actor who overdosed. He was a beautiful soul, and that’s why people miss him so much,’ she added.

Zendaya is one of the people who’ve shared positive memories. She told the publication: ‘He felt like a little brother instantly; ironic because we played characters with the exact opposite dynamic.

‘I’m lucky because I got to experience the most beautiful parts of him.’

Apart from his breakout role in Euphoria, Cloud’s other credits include roles in The Line and cameos in music videos for artists like Becky G, Karol G and Juice WRLD.
