8 Mile star Nashawn Breedlove dies aged 46

Nashawn Breedlove has died at the age of 46.

The star, who famously appeared opposite Eminem in 8 Mile, died on Sunday.

His family confirmed the sad news of their loss to TMZ, explaining that he died at his home in New Jersey.

According to the outlet, his family have yet to learn his cause of death.

Breedlove came to fame thanks to his musical talents, rapping under the stage name, Ox.

He went on to appear on the soundtrack of The Wash, in 2001, with the track, Don’t Talk S**t.

The star was placed alongside huge names on the album, including Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, D12, Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg – with Snoop and Dr Dre also starring in the comedy.

The following year, Breedlove played Lotto in 8 Mile, who took on Eminem’s B-Rabbit in a rap battle that the latter went on to win.

Kim Basinger, Mekhi Phifer, Brittany Murphy, Taryn Manning and Evan Jones also made up the cast.

Following the sad news of Breedlove’s death, fans rushed to offer their condolences on social media.

‘Rest in Peace Nashawn Breedlove aka “Lotto” from 8 Mile,’ one penned. ‘This the only dude that ever beat Eminem in a battle.’

‘Damn. RIP to Nashawn. He had one of my favorite scenes in that movie #RIPLotto #NashawnBreedlove,’ another agreed.

While a follower added: ‘RIP Nashawn Breedlove, wishing your family blessings.’
