Singer Sia made an eye-catching entrance at New York Fashion Week on Friday, in an extravagant ruffled pink gown, a whopping bow and a wig so big she could barely see out.

It took two people to lead her to the microphone at the Christian Siriano show, where she sang hits including Chandelier.

Sia never shows her face, to remain anonymous, insisting she doesn’t want to be famous.

She was not the only A-lister in a dazzling outfit in the Big Apple. Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker wore a mauve Oscar De La Renta dress to pick up an award for her shoe brand.

And Cara Delevingne fancied herself as a cowgirl in a tasselled black jacket and fedora.

You’d think having the late Dame Vivienne Westwood as your grandmother would have given you easy access to designer frocks but model Cora Corre has to hunt down bargains online.

‘People assume I have more of an incredible fashion archive than I do,’ says Cora. ‘I cherish my alone time, sitting in bed on eBay.’

I wonder if browsing for granny’s designs was included in the ‘very long list of things to do’ Vivienne left her family from her deathbed.

Cora has certainly inherited the late fashion legend’s activist streak, continuing her legacy through The Vivienne Foundation, which campaigns on climate change and human rights.
