BBC Breakfast's Carol Kirkwood was interrupted live on air after being\u00a0 hit with snowballs.<\/p>\n
The 61-year-old presenter was on hand to offer the latest weather forecast live from Stroud's Snow Business International Ltd on Wednesday (December 20) morning however things didn't quite go to plan.<\/p>\n
Hosts Jon Kay and Sally Nugent quizzed Carol on whether or not if will be a white Christmas next week as she was surrounded by fake snow. Carol shared: "The chances are on the tops of the hills in the north, particularly Scotland, there might be."<\/p>\n

As Carol ended her segment, she was suddenly hit with snowballs thrown by people off-camera, Shocked presenter Sally could be heard saying: "Don't you dare do that to Carol." As she tried to hand back over to the studio, Jon joked: "No, we're going to stay for more of this." <\/p>\n

Carol added: "You can't get the staff, Sal." before adding "I'm off" as she walked off screen. Sally continued: "How would anyone dare throw a snowball at the queen of weather?" Jon shouted: "Merry Christmas, Carol. We need her back for Christmas Day, she's with us Christmas morning. I bet there's people in Stroud looking out their windows, looking at their TVs and looking back out their windows, it's all fake."<\/p>\n

It comes after Sally was issued a cheeky warning by co-star John Watson live on air during Tuesday's (December 19) episode as she opened up about her childhood dream. As a clip of young riders putting a group of ponies through their paces aired, Sally said: "That was my dream when I was little, to be in the Shetland pony Grand National, never made it." She added: "Someone in my ear just said 'it's never too late', I think it is too late. I think that ship has sailed." <\/p>\n

John joked to Sally: "You shouldn't admit to those things, I'm sure there's a Breakfast VT in there." Since October 2021, she has presented BBC Breakfast along with Dan Walker, Naga Munchetty, Charlie Stayt and Jon.<\/p>\n
