The Mist star, who passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, met his wife, Ami Brabson, on the set of a drama series. <\/p>\n

Ami Brabson, like her late husband, is an actress. The couple co-starred and met while starring in the television series, Homicide: Life on the Street. <\/p>\n
Ami has appeared in a number of television series including Law & Order, Bull, Power, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Jury. <\/p>\n
Her website states she is a singer and producer as well. <\/p>\n
She has also starred in stage shows such as The Settler and Fences. <\/p>\n
She received her Masters of Fine Arts from New York University's Tisch Graduate School of Acting. <\/p>\n
Ami and Andre had three sons. The couple were married for more than 30 years. <\/p>\n
Andre was an actor who starred in a number of hit films and television series. Before Hollywood, he grew up in Chicago. <\/p>\n
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. He went on to receive his Masters of Fine Arts from the Juilliard School in New York City. <\/p>\n

He played Detective Frank Pembleton on the series from 1993 until 1998. <\/p>\n Meanwhile, he starred in a number of hit films including Glory, Primal Fear, City of Angels Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, The Mist, Superman\/Batman: Apocalypse and She Said. <\/p>\n However, Andre is beloved by fans for his portrayal of Captain Raymond Holt on the hit NBC series, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show also starred Andy Samberg and Terry Crews. <\/p>\n The series followed a NYPD detectives and their work. Andre played the boss of the other detectives. The series ended in 2021.<\/p>\n Since the series ended, Andre went on to play Ri'Chard Lane in The Good Fight and was slated to star in the upcoming Netflix series, The Residence. <\/p>\n He won two Emmy Awards – one for his role in Homicide; Life on Street and for the miniseries Thief.<\/p>\n His latest social media posts promoted a number of plays showing at Richard Rodgers Amphitheater, Marcus Garvey Park in New York City.<\/p>\n Andre passed away from a brief illness on Monday, December 11, 2023.
