A MASTERCHEF star has revealed her waters broke while working in Gordon Ramsay\u2019s restaurant.<\/p>\n

Monica Galetti was filming for the TV chef's hit series Hell\u2019s Kitchen\u00a0in 2006 when she went into labour.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old – best known as a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals from 2009 to 2021 – was surprised by her arrival at work.<\/p>\n

She welcomed a daughter, Ana\u00efs, with her French husband David\u00a0Galetti after a safe delivery.<\/p>\n

On Ameliarate Through Wine\u2019 podcast, Monica said: \u201cMy water\u2019s broke when I was yelling at one of the chefs in Gordan Ramsay\u2019s show Hell\u2019s Kitchen and then next<\/span> minute I was rushed off."<\/p>\n

The chef – who runs her own restaurant, Mere – quit <\/p>\n

The chef – who runs her own restaurant, Mere – quit MasterChef: The Professionals in 2021 to "focus on family".<\/p>\n

Her 15-year-old nephew was diagnosed with\u00a0cancer.<\/p>\n

Otis has desmoplastic small round cell tumour – a rare and aggressive cancer that causes masses in the abdomen.<\/p>\n

He has since undergone chemotherapy, but Monica sadly revealed: "We're told it's not a cure. It's just buying us time."<\/p>\n
