Former self-confessed workaholic Simon Cowell has revealed his top tips for job success and family life.<\/p>\n

The 63-year-old, who is behind The X Factor, Britain\u2019s Got Talent and American Idol, has had a lengthy career within the music industry spanning back to the 1980s.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his work habits now and how he continued to remain successful, Simon said he only works four days a week and detailed his four secrets.<\/p>\n

He explained to The US Sun: \u201cDon’t work on Fridays, because you don’t have to.<\/p>\n

\u201cEat dinner at five o \u2018clock. Don’t take calls after 5.30.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cDon’t read emails after 5.30. Watch a happy movie. And stay outside.”<\/p>\n

He said it was \u201cjust pointless\u201d to work on Fridays and admitted his shift in mindset was down to becoming a father.<\/p>\n

Simon and his wife Lauren Silverman welcomed their son Eric back in 2014 and went on to get engaged in 2022.<\/p>\n

Although Simon sticks to his four-day week, he warned those following in his footsteps needed to be \u201cabsolutely focused\u201d.<\/p>\n

He explained when you were with your children you needed to concentrate on them, otherwise they would know you were \u201cfaking it\u201d.<\/p>\n

Simon suggested working parents had to really just immerse themselves when spending time with their children.<\/p>\n

Adding: \u201cAnd you just kind of just got to go there, you know? And it really is worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The interview comes ahead of Simon\u2019s new series America’s Got Talent Fantasy League, which will premiere on January 1, 2024.<\/p>\n
