{"id":68245,"date":"2023-11-15T17:08:56","date_gmt":"2023-11-15T17:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordcelnews.com\/?p=68245"},"modified":"2023-11-15T17:08:56","modified_gmt":"2023-11-15T17:08:56","slug":"timothy-wests-heartbreaking-update-as-wife-prunella-isnt-going-to-get-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordcelnews.com\/tv-movies\/timothy-wests-heartbreaking-update-as-wife-prunella-isnt-going-to-get-better\/","title":{"rendered":"Timothy Wests heartbreaking update as wife Prunella isnt going to get better"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Timothy West discusses living with Prunella Scales&#8217; dementia<\/h3>\n<p>Timothy West has given an update on his wife Prunella Scales&#8217; dementia diagnosis as he admits it &#8220;Isn&#8217;t going to get better&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>BBC Breakfast visited the couple at their home to discuss their careers and a long-running relationship with one another.<\/p>\n<p>The pair have been together for 60 years, which left Timothy to admit: &#8220;It hasn&#8217;t really been hard work has it?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prunella fiercely agreed and said: &#8220;No, he is the person I love and I enjoy being with&#8230;&#8221; to which he quipped: &#8220;That is about it I think!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thinking back to when he first noticed something was wrong with Prunella, Timothy explained: &#8220;I came to see a play that Pru was doing in Greenwich.<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE <\/strong> <strong>Win a pair of tickets to The Coronation Street Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/20\/590x\/secondary\/Timothy-West-and-Prunella-Scales-5066893.jpg?r=1700039588425\"><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I went to see the first night and it was good, much enjoyed by the audience and then I went to see it again and I thought &#8216;She&#8217;s not totally with it&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We went to see a specialist and he said I am sorry this is just something that happens to you when you get older. I don&#8217;t think we ever think &#8216;Oh no&#8217;.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prunella exclaimed: &#8220;I have been asked to live the rest of my life with somebody I respect very much and agree with a lot of things and argue with about a lot of things quite happily.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Timothy and Prunella first met during a play they were both starring in, but have always claimed it was a &#8220;terrible&#8221;
