Cult-favorite Japanese label Porter Yoshida & Co. has announced an all-new collaboration between its in-house sub-label POTR and New York’s rising athletic imprint Minor Planet. The collection, which comprises two bags and two T-shirts, plays into the yoga-inspired codes of the latter label, with a slew of mindful silhouettes that look to “celebrate the minor steps amid the grand designs of life.”

Minor Planet’s philosophy is rooted in the tagline of “Unprofessional Technology,” which serves as a reminder to approach life with a “beginner’s mindset.” As opposed to making classic body-hugging yogawear, the label looks to unite the wardrobes of spiritual practitioners and athletes (specifically those who run, skate or surf) to produce a hybrid uniform that’s distinct to the label.

In collaboration with POTR, Minor Planet produced a range of short and long-sleeve T-shirts that read “Shoshin” with both labels’ iconography. On the back of the designs, graphic illustrations nod to mindfulness with a “Meditation Party” design. In accessories, the brands created a utilitarian yoga shoulder case that’s built to carry a full-size mat. Rounding out the range, the duo crafted an athletic backpack that can be tied securely shut with an internal cord.

The POTR x Minor Planet collection will be available to shop online and at Porter Omotesando on Friday, November 17. Take a closer look at the range in the gallery above.
