HANNAH Spearritt has revealed a major actress who was rejected at the S Club 7 audition before she had even sung. <\/p>\n

The singer's new tell-all book, titled Facing The Music, delves into the star's youth and becoming the big name she is today.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Hannah reminisced about when she was living in a flatshare with actress and singer Sheridan Smith. <\/p>\n

She recalled how they once "passed out" in the lounge after a big night of drinking.<\/p>\n

During this time, Sheridan was starring in Bugsy Malone – and was supposed to get up early the next morning to promote the stage show on TV's This Morning.<\/p>\n

Hannah recalled in her new book: \u201cI woke up with a tongue like fur and switched on the telly to hear the music from This Morning cheerily ringing out.<\/p>\n

\u201cSheridan woke up with a start, groaning at my clattering about the apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe lifted her head up to look at the TV screen and her eyes widened in horror.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201c\u200a\u2018F***!\u2019 she yelled. \u2018What\u2019s the time? We need to be on telly at 10.30!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

It was Sheridan\u2019s mum who had spotted an advert in The Stage newspaper looking for singers to join music mogul Simon Fuller\u2019s new band.<\/p>\n

Sheridan convinced Hannah to attend the open audition for the group that would go on to become S Club 7.<\/p>\n

However, it was only Hannah who got through to the next round. <\/p>\n

She said: \u201cCan you believe they sent Sheridan home without hearing her sing? Imagine being the one who made that decision.<\/p>\n

She described the audition process as "brutal" and couldn't believe she had made it to the next round of auditions. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sheridan was at home waiting for Hannah to return. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe was so supportive of everything that was happening to me and didn\u2019t seem bothered at all about missing out," she said. <\/p>\n

"You only have to look at what she\u2019s gone on to do since.\u201d<\/p>\n

S Club 7 went on to have four UK No1 singles and one UK No1 album.<\/p>\n

They were famed for hits like Reach, S Club Party, Don't Stop Movin', and Bring It All Back.<\/p>\n

Cracking\u00a0America\u00a0was next on the list for the band, releasing a S Club television series, which was later renamed "S Club 7 in Miami".<\/p>\n

It went on to have huge success and had an audience of over 90 million viewers, watched in over 100 countries.<\/p>\n

After two decades in the limelight, the band decided to split up in 2003.<\/p>\n

They were reunited in 2015 as they toured the UK, and were due to go on another tour in 2023 before Paul Cattermole\u00a0sadly died.<\/p>\n
