<\/p>\nChuckle Brother icon Paul Elliott said he looked \u201cdreadful\u201d the one and only time he shaved off his trademark moustache.<\/p>\n
The 75-year-old funnyman, whose elder brother Barry \u2013 other half of the Chuckle Brothers \u2013 died of cancer in 2018, said he would never lose it again.<\/p>\n
Asked about his comedy life, the ChuckleVision star said his first gig was at the Edinburgh Palladium, adding: \u201cI didn\u2019t have a moustache then.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t grow that until I was 23 and I\u2019ve only shaved it once, to raise cash for Marie Curie.<\/p>\n
\u201cI looked dreadful. I won\u2019t be doing that again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul also revealed how he \u201cfelt\u201d his brother with him when he performed now. He said: \u201cWhile it is hard to perform without him, I still think Barry is with me, especially when I\u2019m working.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a lot funnier now than when I was feeding Barry the lines.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel that he\u2019s inside me, like he is delivering the words; the timing is all his.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a nice feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul has previously admitted how he would've given up his famed comedy career for a chance to become a professional footballer with beloved team Rotherham United.<\/p>\n
He was on course to become a pro as a teen before injury ruined his chances of making it big. Speaking on his career-ending injury on BBC radio, via Facebook, Paul recalled: "I got injured playing for Rotherham boys, the whole leg, it damaged the lymphatic tissues.<\/p>\n
"They don't know how I did it and I just couldn't run. I was 14."<\/p>\n
He added when asked if he would've given up the fame for a career with the Championship side: "Without a breath of thought, definitely. I just loved the game, I absolutely loved the game."<\/p>\n
