A personal trainer has revealed how to reverse your biological clock to just 18.

Robert Hester, 29, from London, shared the four simple steps to turn back time on your body.

He revealed that ‘zone 2 running’, lowering sugar consumption, cold showers and supplements are the best methods to lowering age.

Zone two running is when you jog at a pace that keeps your heart rate between 60 and 70 per cent your maximum heart rate – which is 220 minus your age.

‘Even if you do not run or you don’t call yourself a gym person, you need to do zone two running because you as a human need underlying health vitals,’ he explained in a TikTok video.

The fitness enthusiast recommends running at a zone two pace in order to turn your biological clock backwards

Mr Hester explained that your ability to run with a low heart rate highlight if you are able to participate in long distance runs or long bounce activity without becoming exasperated.

He added: ‘In general life that’s really important. Whether you’re running through an airport with bags or carrying stuff back from a supermarket, or just playing with family.’

The self-proclaimed athlete stated that he ran 80 per cent of the time at a zone two pace because it has a positive impact on his health.

He then explained that people should limit sugar consumption. He also advised viewers to wear a glucose tracker, as they are ‘not only for people with diabetes’.

Mr Hester shared: ‘You should assume we are all pre-diabetic and understanding your glucose is a vital health metric.’

‘You are going to want to target having a glucose score of around 70.’

‘I introduced a better diet that had less sugar in it, where my glucose gauge every single day was flat.’

Thirdly, he recommended supplements – with the two he takes being Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMM) and resveratrol.

The entrepreneur also stated having a cold shower every morning plays a big role in increasing his cortisol for the day

‘Although day to day I cant feel an effect. I’m certain that it’s having a general effect on my underlying health.’

The final habit Mr Hester does in his daily life is have a cold shower in the morning, because according to him it helps your cortisol spike upwards, meaning you don’t have to build it up during the day.

Many flocked to the comments to share their own biological ages, with one user writing: ‘I’m 42 but [I have a] biological age of 27.’

Another added: ‘I’m 37. Garmin says I have a fitness age of 21. Been plant based for eight years. I have never felt healthier.’

But not everyone is onboard with the ‘biohacking’ trend, with some joking in the comments: ‘I’ve reduced my fitness age from 50 to three.’

One person quipped: ‘My biological fitness is 18 months! Sleep and eat all the time.’

Many took to the comments to share their own biological fitness ages – but not everyone was convinced

Some did not see the brighter side, commenting: ‘Yeah it’s a bunch of b*****ks…the amount of men saying I’m 60 but biologically 28. S**t up you are 29 and fit.’

While another noted: ‘Nothing can stop ageing,’ to which Mr Hester replied: ‘It’s about being healthier for longer, not living longer.’

A number of tech gurus have made headlines in recent years for their efforts to de-age, including Bryan Johnson who spends $2million a year on pelvic floor blasts, laser therapy and a team of 30 doctors.
