He affirmed: \u201cI’ve had that twice really strongly, where we couldn’t even be in the same studio together – it was awful.\u201d<\/p>\n
While Brendan didn\u2019t name names, he did empathise that \u201cthe hardest part about Strictly\u201d is if members of the dance partnerships don\u2019t get along, as they have to spend so much time together while training for the Saturday night shows.<\/p>\n
He explained to Sky Bingo: \u201cIt’s so intense, the training is intense, the time you spend together in the studio, sometimes for hours, sometimes eight hours, sometimes longer.\u201d<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n However, \u201cif there’s a little bit of tension, it’s such an uncomfortable feeling!” he revealed.<\/p>\n Back in 2016, Brendan did have to dispel rumours that things were tense between him and his partner Anastacia.<\/p>\n At the time, he announced: “I think we’re both two very strong-minded individuals in a process, but we get along very, very well.”<\/p>\n Other than that, Brendan has not opened up about who he didn’t get on with over his tenure on the reality show.<\/p>\n He did conclude that even though “you might not be a bad person, they might not be a bad person,\u201d the whole format of the show means that pro dancers could be \u201cspending time with somebody that’s not on your wish list.\u201d And because of this lack of connection and chemistry, Brendan’s choreography would “start [being] blamed.”<\/p>\n After leaving the beloved BBC show in 2018, Brendan has since moved abroad with his wife and two children.<\/p>\n He has also appeared on a number of reality shows, with him competing alongside actor Jeremy Edwards on The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.<\/p>\n Brendan got all the way to the final on the 2022 series of Dancing on Ice, but he was ultimately pipped to the trophy by Regan Gascoigne.<\/p>\n
