A HOLLYOAKS star has left the crisis-stricken soap after just two months – and her final scenes have already aired.

Soap fans were left shocked earlier this month when it was revealed that Hollyoaks would be leaving Channel 4 after 28 years and moving to E4.

The news has rocked the Hollyoaks cast and fans, and now one cast member has left the show after just two months.

Madelyn Smedley – who first rose to fame on The Traitors on BBC One – joined the show as talent agent Faye Fuller.

But she has now confirmed her final scenes have already aired, writing on X – formerly Twitter – alongside a clip of herself: "FAYE FULLER over and out dallyn!

"Thanks for having me @hollyoaksofficial unreal experience. Best bit as well was my little girl was there with me the whole way, mental."

Madelyn's scenes were part of a storyline around Jemma Donovan's troubled influencer Rayne and her unsuspecting boyfriend Romeo, played by Owen Warner.

The guest spot was never intended to be a full time role, and Madelyn now has her hands full having welcomed her first child at the weekend.

The soap's move to E4 comes as channel chiefs look set to bring the show up to speed with the current digital age.

However, The Sun Online went on to reveal how cast members have been left debating whether to quit as they wonder whether a long-term future on the show is guaranteed.

A source exclusively told The Sun: “Cast have been reassured that budgets will stay the same but a lot of people are worried – a couple of key cast have quietly asked their agents to keep an eye out for new roles and shows they could appear on if things don’t work out at Hollyoaks."

They added: "It’s made a lot of people nervous about job security – despite bosses insisting nobody’s job is at risk.”

Hollyoaks had no comment when contacted by The Sun.
