NETFLIX users have been left feeling sick after witnessing the 'goriest scene ever made' in a horror film where a woman is attacked with a cheese grater.<\/p>\n

Evil Dead Rise quickly became one of the most watched films on the streaming platform as horror fans headed to Netflix for their autumnal fix.<\/p>\n

But even viewers who love spooky season were left horrified by one scene in particular.<\/p>\n

The fifth film in the Evil Dead franchise follows the reunion of two long lost sisters, which quickly goes downhill. <\/p>\n

When Ellie's teens accidentally summon demonic beings after stumbling across an ancient occult book, she gets possessed.<\/p>\n

Beth is left trying to protect her nephew and nieces from her sister, who keeps trying to get into the flat and murder them all.<\/p>\n

Bridget is the first kid to get infected after her mum attacks her, and she soon starts wreaking havoc on the rest of the family too.<\/p>\n

In the film's most gruesome scene the aunt and niece battle for control using kitchen implements – and this is where Bridget turns to the cheese grater to get the upper hand.<\/p>\n

Director Lee Cronin told Entertainment Weekly he was inspired by lockdown to film a scene where a brutal struggle took place where household items were the only weapons.<\/p>\n

He added: "I knew people would enjoy it. I didn't realise it would become the meme that it has become from the moment that trailer dropped, but I'm happy with that.<\/p>\n
