Hugh Jackman\u2019s former wife Deborra-Lee Furness spoke in public for the first time since her shocking split from the Wolverine actor during an impromptu radio interview.<\/p>\n
The 67-year-old actress picked up an accidental cold call from Australian radio DJs Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson while they were live on air on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After realising their mistake, the co-hosts were gobsmacked when the star answered the phone and began chatting with them.<\/p>\n
Kyle could be heard exclaiming: \u2018We have actually called you by mistake, it\u2019s ridiculous. Seriously, this isn\u2019t a stitch-up.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
He continued telling the actress, according to MailOnline: \u2018We didn\u2019t mean to actually call you. But now you\u2019re here, we won\u2019t go into it. We love you, we hope you\u2019re well.\u2019<\/p>\n
Deborra replied: \u2018Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. You\u2019re really sweet,\u2019 after learning of their mistake.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Acknowledging her extremely public marriage breakdown, Kyle went on to assure her: \u2018I just feel it\u2019s too soon. I don\u2019t want to get involved in anything.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018But we love you, and you ring us when you want to chat.\u2019<\/p>\n
Hugh\u2019s ex-wife then responded with gratitude and was heard saying: \u2018Thank you, guys. I really, really appreciate it,\u2019 before she hung up the phone.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Deborra and Hugh, 54, recently announced their separation to the shock of fans after 27 years of marriage to one another.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a statement to US publication People, the couple said: \u2018We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.<\/p>\n
\u2018Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.<\/p>\n
\u2018Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.<\/p>\n

\u2018We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jackman, 54, and Furness, 67, had met on the set of Australian TV show Correlli in 1995 and the pair were married for almost three decades, having wed on April 11 1996.<\/p>\n
The pair had two adopted children together called Oscar and Ava.<\/p>\n
