Jonnie Irwin made his return to TV on Monday afternoon during a new episode of Escape to the Country and left viewers delighted to see him back on their screens.

Introducing the show, Jonnie explained: “We’re journeying through Somerset today, a county which has long been a favourite for our rural escapees.

“Its popularity does not appear to be waning. Come rain or shine, it is a county for all seasons and any time of year, Somerset is special.

“With the changing colour of the trees, that autumnal smell in the air and the leaves rustling underfoot, well, in my opinion, the county goes from special to almost magical.”

Within minutes of Jonnie being back on screens, viewers and fans of the former A Place in the Sun presenter took to their X, formerly known as Twitter, accounts to show their love for Jonnie.
