Katy Perry has posted online for the first time since her ex-husband Russell Brand was accused of rape.<\/p>\n
The hitmaker, 38, took to Instagram to promote the latest offering from her shoe range, Katy Perry Collections, posing on a scooter while wearing a cowboy-inspired boot.<\/p>\n
The doting mum captioned her post: \u2018Scootin n bootin [sic].\u2019<\/p>\n
Perry also posted the photo on her Instagram stories and X, formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n
She has not publicly commented on the bombshell accusations 48-year-old Brand is facing.<\/p>\n
Perry \u2013 who shares a three-year-old daughter with long-term partner Orlando Bloom \u2013 started a whirlwind romance with Brand in 2009<\/strong>, before they married on October 23, 2010, in a lavish ceremony at a tiger sanctuary in India.<\/p>\n However, the pair split just 14 months later when\u00a0Brand told Perry<\/strong>\u00a0he wanted a divorce via text message before she was set to hit the stage.<\/p>\n Doting mum Perry once seemingly hinted at knowing \u2018the real truth\u2019 about her ex-husband in a resurfaced interview.<\/p>\n \u2018At first, when I met him, he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they\u2019re like, \u201cI can\u2019t handle the equalness,\u201d\u2018 she told\u00a0Vogue in 2013<\/strong>.<\/p>\n She described his attitude towards her as \u2018very controlling,\u2019 especially when it came to her touring lifestyle before hinting at deeper issues with Brand and his behaviour.<\/p>\n \u2018I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth,\u2019 she said. \u2018I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day.\u2019<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/metro-parent\/img\/fallback.png\")
