The Duchess opted for some gold bracelets on her wrist and wore her thick brunette locks down and hanging past her shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>The community space provides support and resources for women and girls who are homeless and has recently launched a campaign against period poverty.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As she met with workers and women who visit the community cafe before the end of the Sussexes&#8217; joint trip to Germany, Prince William\u00a0landed in the couple&#8217;s home country, of the US as he touched down at Newark Airport ahead of a week of Earthshot events.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/19\/07\/75584425-12534355-Meghan_Duchess_of_Sussex_visited_TrebeCaf_in_Dusseldorf_before_h-m-13_1695106048834.jpg\" height=\"649\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, visited TrebeCaf\u00e9 in Dusseldorf before heading back to the US after the Invictus Games<\/p>\n<p>While at the cafe, which employs social workers to help women who visit, Meghan was pictured in a sweet moment with a little girl who appeared to present her with a dish.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Prince William, who has just arrived in the US where the Sussexes are returning to, has been busy with his own worthy causes.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, William, 41, met with UN secretary general Antonion Guterres\u00a0to discuss &#8216;efforts required to accelerate the fight against\u00a0climate change\u00a0and protect the environment&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The Prince of Wales and the UN Secretary-General appeared in high spirits as they toured the 93-member world body where world leaders have gathered for their annual summit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/19\/07\/75584427-12534355-image-m-14_1695106065147.jpg\" height=\"376\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>During her visit to the cafe, the Duchess shared a sweet moment with a little girl who appeared to present her with a dish<\/p>\n<p>After telling reporters it was &#8216;so good to be back&#8217; in the US as he got waist deep in the Hudson at an Oyster project, he took a trip to the UN ahead of a &#8216;no nonsense&#8217; climate summit being hosted by Guterres on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>After their meeting, a UN spokesperson said the pair also &#8216;discussed efforts to enhance implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as financing for development&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Guterres warned that the goals &#8216;need a global rescue plan.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, William heaped praise on the US, saying &#8216;no-one does optimism and ingenuity like the American people&#8217; as he arrived at Newark airport last night on the two day trip.<\/p>\n<p>William, who flew commercial and was traveling without the Princess of Wales, went straight from the airport to Governor&#8217;s island, which sits in New York Harbour.<\/p>\n<p>There he was due to learn about the Billion Oyster Project, which aims to make the waters around New York clean by putting a billion oyster shells in them by 2035 to act as natural filters.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow William will announce the 15 finalists for this year&#8217;s Earthshot Prize, which awards companies and projects focusing on climate solutions.<\/p>\n<p>There appears to be no plans to see his estranged brother while in the US &#8211; just days after Prince Harry&#8217;s Invictus Games came to a close in Dusseldorf, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>During their time in Dusseldorf, the Sussexes were a hit with athletes at the Invictus Games, as well as their families and other spectators.<\/p>\n<p>Much like Harry&#8217;s brother William, the couple made their own diplomatic visits &#8211; including to a NATO meeting one morning before they headed to the sitting volleyball event.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-12534355\/Photos-emerge-Meghan-Markles-surprise-trip-Dusseldorf-cafe-homeless-women-William-touches-New-York.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photos emerge of Meghan Markle&#8217;s surprise trip to a Dusseldorf cafe for homeless women as William touches down in New<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":66852,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.8 -
