Laura Anderson suffered a traumatic birth when welcoming her newborn daughter, including a dangerous haemorrhage.<\/p>\n
The reality star, 34, and her ex, Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy, 41, welcomed their first child together in September, after first meeting on Celebs Go Dating.<\/p>\n
Announcing baby girl Bonnie\u2019s birth by saying she was \u2018happy and in love,\u2019 it was nevertheless a difficult experience for Laura, who previously revealed she was suffering from bruising and mastitis.<\/p>\n
Now the Love Island star has gone into detail on the birth, bravely admitting it was \u2018horrendous\u2019 and at times \u2018mentally torturous.\u2019<\/p>\n
She took to Instagram on Tuesday where she vegan by detailing getting \u2018four sweeps\u2019 to try and induce labour, before getting a painful balloon induction which left her unable to walk.<\/p>\n
Eventually the TV star opted for the hormone induction, going into labour immediately \u2013 but the contractions lasted for 12 hours before she was finally four centimetres dilated and brought to the labour ward.<\/p>\n

Laura said it was \u2018mentally quite torturous\u2019 to be in labour for so long with no pain relief \u2013 but things started moving too quickly after that, as reported by The Sun.<\/p>\n
She explained that she began bleeding in the labour ward, and went from four to nine centimetres dilated in just an hour, using gas and air for pain relief \u2013 but it wouldn\u2019t work as she was breathing in too quickly.<\/p>\n
Despite the pain she was in, Laura admitted she felt \u2019embarrassed\u2019 to be making too much noise or to be seen as \u2018over dramatic,\u2019 and continuously apologised, before eventually pleading for an epidural.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, at nine centimetres she was first told she was too far gone for an epidural to work and was offered different pain relief \u2013 but when none of them worked, she was eventually given the injection, which was \u2018the best thing ever.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018So then I pushed her out, couldn\u2019t feel anything,\u2019 Laura regaled her followers.<\/p>\n
\u2018They were like \u201cpush from your bum,\u201d and I was like, \u201cI can\u2019t feel my bum.\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

After safely welcoming Bonnie, Laura\u2019s recovery was only just beginning, as she suffered a painful second-degree tear and required stitches.<\/p>\n
\u2018Five hours later I had a haemorrhage,\u2019 she revealed.<\/p>\n
The incident happened while she was alone and trying to catch some sleep, when she \u2018stood up and lost loads of blood. <\/p>\n
\u2018Like loads of clots and I felt really, really faint. I couldn\u2019t reach the buzzer and I don\u2019t know if I shouted but someone came in.\u2019<\/p>\n
Recalling the terrifying experience, she went on: \u2018I just stayed calm because I thought, \u201cI\u2019ve got everybody around me that needs to be here, doing everything they can.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018So I am a bit better in emergencies like that than like smaller things, if I stub my toe it\u2019s the end of the world,\u2019 she joked.<\/p>\n
The new mum lost a total of 1.6 litres of blood, admitting it was \u2018scary\u2019 \u2013 but \u2018it\u2019s all worth it and I would do it again.\u2019<\/p>\n
That said, she had advice for any mums-to-be: \u2018Don\u2019t be the hero. Get the epidural at 4cm.\u2019<\/p>\n
Laura previously revealed some nasty bruises on her arm as she jokingly revealed the \u2018glamorous life of post-partum.\u2019<\/p>\n

The Love Island star also said in her post that she\u2019s desperate to catch up with her friends but there are \u2018not enough hours in the day\u2019.<\/p>\n
It seems her family are also yet to visit, as she stated sadly that \u2018everyone has Covid.\u2019<\/p>\n
As for other aspects of her health, Laura went on to share that she has mastitis \u2018already\u2019 and was picking up antibiotics to treat it.<\/p>\n
Mastitis is\u00a0an inflammation of breast tissue that sometimes involves an infection.<\/p>\n
