Strictly Come Dancing bosses have allegedly claimed they are enforcing new rules to stop spoilers from emerging before the episodes air.

For many years, Strictly has been plagued with the results of the dance-off being leaked ahead of the show.

The BBC One dance competition is filmed before a live studio audience with both Saturday’s live show and Sunday’s results show being filmed all in one go.

With only a select few people knowing which celebrity is eliminated from the competition, the results are often leaked on social media hours before viewers are able to watch, leaving them frustrated.

Now, it has been claimed that bosses have implemented new rules for all involved, dedicated to finding the “mole” which has been ruining the results for years.

Some of us like to watch the Launch Show without knowing the pairings. I have everything blocked but still I’ve seen people discussing it. Think about others eh? Thank you x.” (sic)

@karistbh shared: “I don’t want to know the full spoilers but I know which strictly pros haven’t got partners this year and let’s just say I’ve properly messed up my predictions.”

The celebrities taking part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing are, Angela Rippon, Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas, Nikita Kanda, Ellie Leach, Jody Cundy, Bobby Brazier, Nigel Harman, Annabel Croft and Les Dennis.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on September 16, at 6.35pm on BBC One.
