<\/p>\nTV presenter Jermaine Jenas has revealed he once owned a whopping 750 pairs of trainers – and even got them delivered to The One Show so his wife didn\u2019t find out.<\/p>\n
The ex-footballer has just finished filming a new documentary about the world\u2019s most expensive trainers and it turns out he was the ideal person for the job.<\/p>\n
Jermaine says: "At one point I was probably around the 750 pairs mark but I\u2019m now down to about 250 because I\u2019m trying to be a bit more niche with the ones I collect.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a silly number but it was my passion at that time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve collected trainers my whole life, I love my trainers. It\u2019s the one thing I have to sneak around in my house and buy.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy wife has now found out I get them delivered to The One Show instead of at home so that ship\u2019s sailed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jermaine\u2019s most prized pair have a nostalgic connection. He says: "They\u2019re a pair of Air Max 95s, neon green and grey. They were \u00a3110, the first pair of trainers I got when I was kid.<\/p>\n

\u201cI travelled from Nottingham to London to get them with money I\u2019d saved up.<\/p>\n
\u201cI remember that time and how difficult it was to get them and how much they mattered to me. I\u2019ve got them in a box and I\u2019ll never wear them again.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 40-year-old admits life was hard growing up and he often survived on just four bowls of cereal a day.<\/p>\n

He says: \u201cWhen I was younger it was difficult. My diet was limited as a kid based on the level of income in the house and how hard my mum was working.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy mum worked two, three, jobs, I\u2019d come back from school, let myself in and fend for myself until she got back.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of the time that would mean I\u2019d have another bowl of cereal. That\u2019s where I really sympathise with parents because I lived that life as a kid.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can find yourself at work and you tolerate each other, but we\u2019ve been out for meals, we\u2019ve had drinks, we\u2019ve socialised together with our families<\/p>\n \u201cAnd with Roman it\u2019s going to be exactly like that.
