<\/p>\nSUPERMODEL Linda Evangelista has revealed she\u2019s secretly battling cancer at the age of 58 and has \u201cone foot in the grave\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Canadian catwalk queen and mother-of-one also revealed she\u2019s already had a double mastectomy when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2018.<\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
The new bombshell comes after Linda was left disfigured by a fat removal procedure went horribly wrong and she piled on pounds of hard fat that destroyed her career.<\/p>\n
It also follows Tatjana Patitz dying of breast cancer earlier this year aged 56. <\/p>\n
She was one of the five supermodels who featured in the iconic Vogue cover heralded as the \u201cbirth certificate\u201d of supermodels.<\/p>\n
After surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for the latest tumour, she has been told that her prognosis is \u201cgood but not great\u201d adding: \u201cOnce it\u2019s come back, there\u2019s a chance. I know I have one foot in the grave, but I\u2019m totally in celebration mode.\u201d<\/p>\n

Talking to the Wall Street Journal, Linda described when it was diagnosed the first time round.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cIt was detected in my annual mammogram. The margins were not good, and due to other health factors, without hesitation, because I wanted to put everything behind me and not to have to deal with this, I opted for a bilateral mastectomy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThinking I was good and set for life. Breast cancer was not going to kill me.\u201d<\/p>\n
But in July of last year she found a lump on her chest and had an MRI and a biopsy which revealed she had cancer in her pectoral muscle.<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n She told her surgeon to do whatever it took, adding: \u201cDig a hole in my chest. <\/p>\n "I don\u2019t want it to look pretty. I want you to excavate. I want to see a hole in my chest when you\u2019re done. Do you understand me? I\u2019m not dying from this.\u201d<\/p>\n She explained how she then started a course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Linda said: \u201cI just went into this mode that I know how to do\u2014just do what you\u2019ve got to do and get through it. And that\u2019s what I did.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve kept it quiet. Only a handful of people knew. And I\u2019m just not one of those people who has to share everything.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought to myself, I will share this one day but while I am going through it, absolutely not.\u201d<\/p>\n Linda, who has a 16-year-old son called Augustin James with French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, was one of the biggest supermodels of the Nineties.<\/p>\n She famously said they wouldn\u2019t \u201cGet out of bed for less than $10,000\u201d a comment that sparked a backlash against them by the turn of the Millennium.<\/p>\n Linda\u2019s \u00a0new health bombshell comes just two years after she revealed she\u2019d been left disfigured by a CoolSculpting fat removal procedure she went through that actually led to her piling ON weight – in the form of hard blobs of fat that can\u2019t be removed.<\/p>\n It had left her a virtual hermit and, until recently, had stalled her fashion career while many of her catwalk peers were still working.<\/p>\n Linda is appearing in an upcoming documentary The Supermodels for Apple TV+ in which she appears alongside Naomi Campbell, 53, Cindy Crawford, 57, and Christy Turlington, 54.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/SC-Kanye-Investigated-Comp3-copy.jpg\")
