Emmerdale actress Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby Thomas in the soap, has opened up on her love life, as she says that she prefers "normal" guys.<\/p>\n

Rosie has been part of the ITV show since 2016, but off-screen, she spends her time between her family home in Nottingham and her flat in Leeds, which is close to the set of Emmerdale.<\/p>\n

The 22 year old revealed she is "getting to know" a new beau, but she tends to keep her love life private.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Sun, she explained: "I would say that I\u2019m getting to know someone at the moment, but I\u2019m very private when it comes to my love life."<\/p>\n

She also explained that things can go wrong "quickly" at her age, so they are taking things "slow".<\/p>\n

Rosie also said that she thinks it is important to keep her barriers up because she claims you never know what a person's "true" intentions are.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, Rosie explained: "I\u2019ve always been quite cautious when it comes to love and have never dated anyone in the public eye.<\/p>\n

"The guy I\u2019m getting to know is just a normal guy."<\/p>\n

Rosie's character, Gabby, has always been bold when it comes to romance, and she is not short on confidence in both love and life.<\/p>\n

On filming some of her raunchier scenes on the soap, the actress explained that she doesn't mind and it is just "part of the job".<\/p>\n

Since Rosie took over the role of Gabby in 2016, viewers have watched her grow into a young woman who is now a mother.<\/p>\n

She gave birth to Thomas Tate in 2021, whose father is the evil Jamie Tate. While they split and he went missing, Gabby has remained a key part of the Tate family, living at Home Farm with his mum Kim.<\/p>\n

Gabby has been learning key business skils from Kim as she looks to set up a bright future for her and her son.<\/p>\n

In recent times, she has also been part of one of the biggest storylines to hit the village as Caleb Milligan tried to con Kim with the help of his son Nicky. <\/p>\n

Nicky pretended to be a nanny and looked after Thomas while Gabby worked, he then pretended to fall in love with her and they even got engaged. <\/p>\n

However, on the morning of the wedding, Nicky decided that enough was enough and he told Gabby that he couldn't marry her as he was gay. <\/p>\n

That was the start of Caleb's plan falling to pieces, and eventually the two of them were caught before they got any money from Kim, but it left Gabby heartbroken. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
