Tremaine Emory has reportedly exited his role as creative director of Supreme. The Fall/Winter 2023 collection is slated to Emory’s final season with Supreme. His departure has not yet been confirmed by the designer himself, Denim Tears or Supreme.

Earlier this year, Emory opened up about his ongoing recovery from an aneurysm he suffered late last year that left him hospitalized for two months. In the Started From the Bottom podcast in Janu, he discussed his recovery from a lower aorta aneurysm stating, “You know, eight of 10 people pass from having it so I was fortunate enough to survive it. I went in the hospital in October and [by the] end of December, right before New Year’’s, got out.” Due to the aneurysm, he has been doing physical therapy since it “messed up” his legs, forcing him to build back the muscle while waiting for “the nerves to wake up.”

It is worth noting that since Emory’s appointment in February 2022, his collections have been well-received with his first being the Spring/Summer 2023 collection. In just two seasons, Emory has been able to add his own vision to the brand, including working with various collaborators like Coogi, Cactus Plant Flea Market’s Cynthia Lu, NBA YoungBoy and more. Earlier this year, Emory collaborated with Kim Jones and Dior for a Dior Tears capsule. This month also marked Denim Tears’s fourth anniversary. As of writing, Emory’s reason for his Supreme departure has yet to be confirmed.

In case you missed it, ERL has teased an upcoming Levi’s collaboration.
