{"id":66226,"date":"2023-08-28T09:53:02","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T09:53:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordcelnews.com\/?p=66226"},"modified":"2023-08-28T09:53:02","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T09:53:02","slug":"coronation-street-and-eastenders-icons-unrecognisable-in-tv-throwback-picture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordcelnews.com\/tv-movies\/coronation-street-and-eastenders-icons-unrecognisable-in-tv-throwback-picture\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronation Street and EastEnders icons unrecognisable in TV throwback picture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CwcaSqJIvPn\/<\/p>\n<p>Following the news of CITV shutting down for good, Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has shared an epic throwback picture, featuring several Corrie and EastEnders legends at the beginning of their careers.<\/p>\n<p>The Maria Connor actress took to Instagram to share a picture of the cast of popular kids TV show The Ward, which was previously known as Children\u2019s Ward, reflecting on the \u2018special memories\u2019 she made working on it.<\/p>\n<p>Children\u2019s Ward ran on CITV from 1989 until 2000, and kickstarted the careers of countless soap and drama stars.<\/p>\n<p>Samia wasn\u2019t the only soap star to appear, with fellow Corrie star Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, also popping up in the photo.<\/p>\n<p>They were joined by EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, who played Mick Carter on the BBC soap between 2013 and 2022.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fitvids-video\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Girls Stick Together - Children&#039;s Ward\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ajC6me5INVE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s sad to hear that CITV is closing as a channel.. I\u2019ve got special memories of working on some of its shows,\u2019 Samia wrote beneath the throwback snap.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Can you spot Jane Danson, Danny Dyer and myself?\u2019 She challenged her followers.<\/p>\n<p>In case you need a helping hand, Samia can be seen sitting on the front row, second from the left, with Jane in the row behind, furthest to the left, and Danny on the end of the row at the back.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to the comments, Danny reflected on his time on the show, saying, \u2018Good memories. Lovely people.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Jane was disappointed by the end of CITV, writing: \u2018Absolutely heartbreaking. It would such a brilliant platform for us as young actors and produced some amazing shows.
