What will happen in Killing Eve series 2?

The plot of series two revolves around an elicit love affair between Eve and Villanelle.

You can watch the trailer at the top of this article.

The first season ended with Eve confessing her feelings for Villanelle – just before she stabbed her in the stomach.

Speaking to ET Canada Sandra Oh said: "I think that action that Eve did has a profound effect on Villanelle.

"I think that both changes them in a way that neither of them were quite ready for."

She added: "It’s like… the difficulty of the romance is how to be together. It’s like… more of the impossible dynamic is how can you actually be together and I think we definitely explore that."

The first series was based on the novella series Codename Villanelle by Luke Jennings.

It remains to be seen if Eve's marriage to Niko will survive or if we'll find out who the mysterious organisation known only as "The Twelve" really are.
