Hope Stape has been back on Coronation Street for all of a few days but is already in the midst of drama.
Hope (Isabella Flanagan) returned to Weatherfield with mum Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) after spending some time in Birmingham.
While the mother and daughter have already been faced with their first bump in the road – the youngster was denied a place at Bessie Street school – the pair will soon be embroiled in a dramatic storyline which’ll see Hope’s life in danger.
What is wrong with Hope Stape?
Fiz left Coronation Street last year to enroll her daughter at a behavioural school after Hope displayed worrying signs at her old school.
The youngster also bit her sister Ruby (Macy Alabi) and put Evelyn’s (Maureen Lipman) dog on a tram to Rochdale.
Since returning, Fiz has discovered that Hope may not have a place at Bessie Street school after Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) forgot to apply there.
However, could the Stapes’ return to Weatherfield signal a change in Hope’s behaviour for the better?
What’s going to happen to Hope Stape?
An upcoming storyline will see Hope slip out of the house while Fiz and Tyrone argue. Once the pair realise, they quickly call the police and launch a search.
Hope’s cries for help are heard from the factory and she is found surrounded by fire, with Ali Neeson (James Burrows) diving in to save her.
However, following her rescue, Hope’s account of what transpired don’t seem to add up.
