Tipping Point fans were left baffled on Tuesday as one contestant appeared to mistake the English county of Wiltshire for a country.
Emma-Louise was asked by presenter Ben Shephard: "In what country of the UK would you find the Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty?"
And she might have buzzed in a little prematurely, as she answered: "Wiltshire."
Ben had to remind her that he’d actually said country rather than county, leaving poor Emma-Louise red-faced with embarrassment at the blunder.
And baffled fans flocked to Twitter to share their confusion, with one writing: "Wiltshire, that well known COUNTRY of the UK!"
Another giggled: "Wiltshire is now a country."
A third fan commented: "Lovely country Wiltshire."
Someone else posted: "Which country in the UK? Wiltshire!"
Another asked: "Is Wiltshire a member of the UN in its own right?"
Poor Emma-Louise was booted off the show with just £100 in her prize-pot, after failing to catch her fellow contestants by winning the penalty pot.
And viewers weren’t letting her forget her earlier slip-up, with one writing on social media: "She’s off to campaign for Wiltshire’s independence."
Someone else joked: "Emma-Louise didn’t have a lovely day, and is now headed home via the country of Wiltshire."
"Don’t forget your passport when you head up to Wiltshire!" another giggled.
Another fan was a bit more sympathetic, commenting: "Aww, Wiltshire cost Emma her place."
Fellow contestant Colin wowed players with his Tipping Point skills, as he went through to the head-to-head with Josh.
But geography clearly wasn’t his strong point either, as he thought Nottingham was located in North West England rather than the Midlands.
He was asked which city 'Cottonopolis' was referring to – to which the answer was Manchester, famed for its cotton industry.
"Nottingham’s moved since I lived there!" one wry viewer wrote on Twitter.
"That famous industrial city in North West England, Nottingham!" another laughed.
Someone else posted: "Nottingham, that famously north west city."

Colin was also ousted from the show, leaving Josh to play for the jackpot. He revealed he was engaged to be married and would put his winnings towards a lavish wedding – while Colin's dreams of jetting off to Turkey had to be put on the back-burner.
He had been set on securing the mystery counter to unveil a grand prize – but left before he had the chance.
Josh eventually managed to coax it out of the machine, but rather than a Turkish all-inclusive, he'd won a trip to Woburn Safari Park for him and his family.
He eventually declined to gamble on getting the jackpot counter out of the machine, walking away with £4,050.
But he made the wrong decision, as his first counter tipped it over the edge when Ben instructed him to play the final counters to see what would have happened.
