This Morning host Sophie Prescott has called for Amanda Holden to be sacked from ITV following her feud with Phillip Schofield.
The 48-year-old recently reignited rumours that she’d fallen out with the popular presenter during a quickfire question round on her Heart Radio breakfast show.
Here the mother-of-two was asked what three things she didn’t want to find in her house.
Responding to the question, the Britain’s Got Talent judge quipped: ‘Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.’
And it seems Sophie, who has appeared on the popular breakfast show 24 times, was not impressed by the comment.
Chatting to The Mirror, the mother-of-one explained her views on the situation.
She told the publication: ‘Amanda Holden is being thoroughly unprofessional in her behaviour to a fellow ITV family member and should keep her opinions to herself and not publicise them in this way, bringing unwanted bad publicity to the ITV network.
‘Whatever beef she has with Philip should be dealt with behind close doors.’
Sophie, who has been dubbed This Morning’s Craft Queen, added: ‘Who does Amanda think she is, marching into Kevin Lygo’s office demanding answers on what she alleges that is supposed to have happened?
‘She should be yellow-carded and told to shut up or face getting the sack from Britain’s Got Talent.’
Amanda’s jibe came just months after claims she was dropped from presenting This Morning with Phillip, at the regular host’s request.
An insider reportedly told The Sun: ‘Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced — and having been told privately she’d got the gig.
‘She feels Phil unfairly used his powers of persuasion.’
They added: ‘She was told he’d chosen Rochelle because she was easier to “manage” on air – and understandably that incensed her.’
Phil has since lamented the claims, without referencing them directly, hoping that his followers ‘would know him better’.
‘The end of another really sad weekend,’ the 57-year-old wrote in a tweet.
‘When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless “sources”.
‘Obviously I’ll take it on the chin..I just hope you know me better.’
Metro.co.uk has reached out to both ITV and Amanda’s reps for further comment.
