STRICTLY's 2020 line-up put on the glitz and glam in official photos ahead of the launch show.

The 18th series of the popular BBC1 series starts on October 17th with a new line-up of celebrities ready to compete for the Glitterball trophy.

Ahead of the launch show next weekend, we look at the celebs in their first proper fabulous outfits.

Clara Amfo

RADIO 1 DJ Clara, 36, has been inundated with advice from colleagues who have done the show, including Melvin Odoom.

Clara laughed: “He said, ‘Don’t be too good in the first week!’”

Max George

SINGER Max George, 32, doesn’t fancy his Strictly chances — neither does girlfriend Stacey Giggs.

He said: “Stacey laughed and then laughed a bit more. I think she thought I was joking.”

Ranvir Singh

BREAKFAST TV star Ranvir, 43, says she was scarred when a dance tutor ended her ballet dreams aged seven.

They wrote: “Ranvir is enthusiastic but lands like an elephant.”

Nicola Adams

EX-Olympic boxing champion Nicola, 37, is looking forward to being part of the show’s first same-sex pairing.

She said: “It means a lot to me. I think it’s a brilliant step in the right direction.”

TV presenter JJ, 33, hopes his body holds out for Strictly.

The ex-Marine, who was blown up in Afghanistan, said: “I was fortunate to keep more or less all my parts, except a few fingers.”

EASTENDER Maisie, 19, cannot wait for the make-up squad to get hold of her.

She said: “That is genuinely what I think I’m most excited about — being glammed up every single week!”

Bill Bailey

FUNNYMAN Bill, 55, says he was stunned to get an unlikely good luck text from a friend living in a remote farmhouse.

He said: “It goes to show the huge reach this show has. Everyone watches it.”

THE ex-Home Secretary, 57, has had advice from previous show favourite Ed Balls.

She said: “I’m not sure I would ever be able to match his Gangnam Style. But I love the tango.”

THE Men Behaving Badly star, 60, signed up only because she had no acting work owing to the pandemic.

She said: “I thought this might be something just delightfully fun.”

Jason Bell

THE ex-NFL star, 42, says the first person he told about doing the show was his ex, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle.

He revealed: “She said, ‘Are you sure your back can do it?’ I talk to her all the time.”

Jamie Laing

MADE in Chelsea star Jamie, 31, had to pull out of last year’s show with an injury.

He fears history repeating itself, saying: “If I get injured again it would look like I bottled it! I have to be careful.”

POPSTAR HRVY, 21, could not have a professional photo as he is self-isolating with Covid — but he has sized up the rest.
