This year’s Strictly Come Dancing stars will perform two dances each for the first time in a bid to secure their spot in the final of the BBC competition. Kelvin Fletcher is tipped by bookmakers to lift the Glitterball Trophy but if the final result follows the pattern of previous eliminations it looks like viewers will watch another contestant be crowned 2019 champion.
Strictly fans have seen a number of shock eliminations and dances off over the last few weeks.
In week nine Michelle Visage and Giovanni Pernice were booted off the show after Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard were saved in the dance-off.
At this point in the competition Michelle and Saffron were in the top four highest scoring couples alongside Karim Zeroual and Kelvin.
Following week nine’s performances, Michelle had earned a total of 298 points and Saffron had 274 points.

Despite Michelle’s higher total, the judges voted to save Saffron instead.
Ahead of week nine, Michelle was in fact second on the overall leaderboard with 266 points while Karim was closely behind with 262 points.
In week 10, Karim and Amy Dowden and Saffron and AJ found themselves in the dreaded dance-off.
At this point the CBBC presenter had the second highest number of total points and the YouTube had the third highest.
Despite their impressive track records Saffron left the competition after failing to impress the judges with her Samba.
The overall judges leaderboard suggests those couples who score well with the judges are not safe from elimination.
Last week’s show saw Alex Scott and Neil Jones who had earned a total of 305 points become the latest celebrity to exit.
This was in spite of the couple going against Chris Ramsey and Karen Clifton in the dance-off who had scored less overall with 287 points.

Heading into the semi-final Kelvin has scored a total of 388 points with Karim following behind with 378 points.
Emma Barton is in third position with 323 points and Chris has a total of 287 points.
If the semi-final follows the same pattern as the last three eliminations, a celebrity other than Chris will be booted off.
- Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Karim Zeroual exposes secret advantage?
Up until they left, Michelle and Saffron scored consistently high just like Kelvin and Karim.
Could Kelvin’s consistent performance become his downfall and be the reason why he doesn’t win the show?
If so, Emma and Anton Du Beke could be the couple to walk away as champions.
Elsewhere, Karim’s advantage may have been exposed on It Takes Two after last week’s perfect performance.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One at 7pm.
