Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) has never given up hope that her sister Tina is alive and might return to the Square one day, but upcoming scenes in EastEnders may see that hope finally shattered.
Evil Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) – who of course murdered Tina last Christmas when she worked out that he’d murdered Chantelle – has been stringing the Carters along by claiming to have seen Tina around London.
He’s also sent texts in Tina’s name from a burner phone.
Shirley has been clinging on to the possibility that Tina might return after Gray told the Carters he saw Tina on a bus.
Later on he said he couldn’t be completely sure it was her, but in the absence of any other news about Tina it’s been enough to maintain a tiny bit of optimism.
But that’s all set to be destroyed as Gray reveals to a shocked Shirley that he now believes the woman on the bus wasn’t Tina after all.
Will Shirley finally have to accept that her sister has gone for good?
If so, could that lead to her working out Gray killed her?
The net is closing in on the murderer, that’s for certain.
