Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) is set to fight dirty in Coronation Street as he vows to take on Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and not let her come between himself and Yasmeen (Shelley King) but as he retaliates to her defence of her nan, how far is the Coronation Street abuser set to go?
Alya has seen Geoff’s mask slip and, after some digging, found out he was the one who was leaving nasty reviews online about the restaurant and also that there had been an incident where Yasmeen had become trapped in the magician’s box.
While Yasmeen has defended her manipulative husband as he continues to gaslight her and make himself out to be the victim, Alya found out that he and a previous partner were once arrested for affray and she has since spoken to the police about it.
She manages to lure Yasmeen to the flat so that she can speak to an officer about Geoff and his past but Yasmeen refuses to get on board, assuring Alya that she has the wrong idea and that Geoff loves her very much.
A despairing Alya gives Yasmeen the card with the police officer’s contact details – but is this something that evil Geoff will find and react aggressively to?
Geoff has already made it clear to Alya that he wants her to back off but when she learns that Zeedan isn’t inviting family to his wedding in Spain, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) urges her to change her brother’s mind so that they can get Yasmeen away from Geoff.
As Alya succeeds, she tells Yasmeen about the wedding but Geoff is quick to point out that they can’t leave the restaurant unattended.
Alya curtly tells him that he isn’t invited so he can look after the place but he isn’t about to let her get one over on him so easily.
As he pulls some more puppet strings, Geoff later announces to Alya that he is now on the guest list and will be coming with them, leaving her infuriated. Seeing that Geoff is not willing to let Yasmeen out of his sight, Alya is more determined that ever that she needs to open Yasmeen’s eyes.
But with Geoff onto her cause, is she taking on more than she has bargained for?
