EastEnders stars Kellie Bright and Danny Dyer have teased what’s ahead for Linda and Mick Carter when the BBC’s flagship soap returns later this year.
Secrets From The Square host Stacey Dooley asked Kellie and Danny what one can expect when the beloved serial drama resumes later this year.
Danny teased: ‘We do know, don’t we? We’re not allowed to say.’
Kellie said: ‘We are essentially going to be coming out of lockdown like the rest of the country.’
‘There are some testing times ahead for Mick and Linda.’
Danny — who portrays Mick on the soap — added: ‘I think potentially when we come out of lockdown, I think I could have the best storyline I’ve ever had on this show’
Mick and Linda’s future was left up in the air, after they sold their beloved boozer, so it’s safe to say viewers are eager to know what’s ahead!
The long-running serial drama was forced to suspend production earlier this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, and in order to ensure the soap didn’t go off the air, episodes were rationed out at two a week as opposed to the usual four.
Production was unable to resume ahead of episodes running out, and therefore the final pre-lockdown episode aired last week.
However, fans can get their Walford fix via Secrets From The Square, a weekly iconic episode, classic episodes from 2008 which will be made available on iPlayer, in addition to the re-runs on Drama.
EastEnders: Secrets From The Square continues next Monday at 8pm on BBC One. The iconic Den and Angie two-hander episode will be re-shown tomorrow at 7:30pm on BBC One.
