EastEnders fans can rejoice as Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) will be back in Walford when the soap returns to screens later this year.
Kat made an abrupt exit back in March, as she received a phone-call from an unknown caller, and wasted little time in departing Albert Square.
Kush (Davood Ghadami) was none too pleased at his girlfriend’s decision, and in the meantime, he’s struggled to look after her family in her absence.
Desperate to help Jean (Gillian Wright), he began drugging her with her medication, but she soon found out what he was up to and evicted him from the Slater household.
The soap is currently on hiatus after pre-lockdown episodes ran out last month, but it will be back later this year — and it sounds like Kush will be having a tough time!
Speaking to Stacey Dooley in the latest episode of Secrets From The Square, actor Davood said: ‘Last thing we saw was him [Kush] having a bit of difficulty with Jean, and him trying to sort it out and going about it the wrong way, but he’s forgiven by Jean and let back in.
‘So he’s in No. 31 with all the kids, with Jean, with Mo, with Shirley.
‘And we also have Kat back, so they actually spend lockdown together.
‘So, can you just imagine? All those characters! How that would work for Kush… the queue for the toilet. Like, think of it!
‘He’s had a really testing time, unlike Martin, who sounds like he’s enjoying the fact that they [Martin and Ruby] can’t leave the bedroom!
‘It’s a very testing time, and what happens at the other end of it is so exciting!’
