This year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! already looks different before it’s even started – as bosses were forced to relocate from the usual campsite Down Under to North Wales. A string of new contestants will be doing their best to be crowned King or Queen of the series, with this year’s title being tweaked to King or Queen of the Castle rather than a Jungle. Gwrych Castle will be the setting of this year’s series, and in a major shake-up, fans will finally get to see hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly undergo three gruelling Bushtucker Trials.

But although we still don’t know the official line-up, bookies seemed to have a predicted winner in mind already.

Bookmaker Ladbrokes has slashed Shane Richie’s odds to become King of the Castle, as his odds are now 5/2 making him the clear favourite.

Radio 1 host Jordan North’s odds are 7/1 to emerge victorious and the bookies have immediately placed him among the frontrunners to be crowned as winner.

Meanwhile McFly star Tom Fletcher’s wife Giovanna’s odds are sitting at 4/1.

Other frontrunners include Sir Mo Farah, whose odds are at 5/1 according to bookies.

AJ Pritchard’s odds are at 9/2, after the Strictly Come Dancing star recently quit the hit BBC One show in a bid to venture out and try “new things”.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “This could be the best series of I’m A Celeb yet with a whole host of personalities set to take to this year’s makeshift jungle.

“And while Shane Richie currently leads the way in betting, there are plenty of names behind him capable of going all the way.”

Not only are the odds in Shane’s favour but his stint on hit soap EastEnders could prove to be key to becoming the winner.

Jacqueline Jossa – who played Lauren Branning on the soap – was crowned the Queen of the Jungle last year.

And back in 2012, EastEnders star Charlie Brooks emerged victorious.

While four years prior, BBC soap star Joe Swash was crowned as the King of the Jungle.

Shane could find himself battling it out for the top spot with fellow EastEnders star Jessica Plummer.

Other rumoured celebs set to appear in the series alongside him include Vernon Kay, Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire, to name a few.

Bosses previously made the decision to relocate the series from Australia to Wales due to the ongoing pandemic.

ITV landed on an abandoned castle in the wilds of Wales as restrictions made filming the show Down Under impossible.

Luckily, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are still set to host this year’s series.

It was recently reported that the pair will also endure a series of gruelling challenges.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here returns later this month to ITV.
