Sara Davies MBE will be strutting her stuff on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor when the BBC series returns later this year. Good Morning Britain confirmed the Dragons’ Den star was a part of the line-up on Monday morning. However, the entrepreneur and television personality has suffered a huge setback after her new role was announced.

The Dragons’ Den star has been marked as the rank outsider with bookmakers to win the next series of Strictly.

Ladbrokes have given the businesswoman odds of 25/1 to win the competition.

That puts her in sixth place behind the five other celebrities that have been confirmed so far.

The Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite is tipped to win at 16/1 while Robert Webb is a little ahead at 12/1.

Strictly fans seem to think Tom Fletcher will follow in the footsteps of his McFly bandmate Harry Judd by winning the series.

He heads the betting at 5/1 while AJ Odudu and Rhys Stephenson jointly sit behind him at 8/1.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “This is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded Strictly line-ups in recent years.

“And while Sara Davies often calls the shots on Dragons’ Den, the odds suggest she won’t have it all her own way on the dancefloor.”

When the latest contestant was confirmed, Sara admitted she didn’t know whether she could dance or not.

The Dragons’ Den star remarked: “My Mum and Dad are going to be so excited.

“I’m really nervous because so far the producers keep asking me if I can dance.

“Truth be told – I haven’t got a clue! I’ve not danced since I did ballet lessons when I was little.”

“The business world has taught me that tenacity, drive and determination deliver results, I hope that I can bring that to the dancefloor,” she shared.

“And I’m excited to see the impact of all those hours of training on my mum tum!”

Sara will be hoping to outperform her Dragons’ Den co-star Deborah Meaden on the dancefloor.

The businesswoman took part in series 11 in 2013 and was partnered with Robin Windsor.
