Sandi Toksvig, who presents the show with Noel Fielding, has announced that she will no longer be a part of the Great British Bake Off family so that she can pursue other work projects. In a lengthy statement, she said, “as my waistline will testify, Bake Off is an all-consuming show.”
The Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4 from BBC One in 2017, replacing duo Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins with Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding.
The pair hosted the show with the judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, hosting three main series as well as festive specials.
Sandi said: “When stepping down from a job it is quite common for people to say they are doing so in order to spend more time with their family.
“Unusually I am departing from the Great British Bake Off so I can spend more time with my other work.”
